Micaela Hammond was born and raised in Pasadena, California. Her love for the arts started in high school when she decided to join the Graphic Design Academy instead of the Health Academy. However, it wasn't until Micaela shadowed an Editor on AMC's The Walking Dead did she decided to pursue a career in the film industry. A year later Micaela joined Loyola Marymount’s School of Film and Television class of 2019. Her passion for shaping a story for the screen was quickly noticed by her peers and professors. Inspired by varied films such as Apocalypse Now and Blade Runner, Oscar Martinez reallocated from Silicon Valley to Los Angeles in order to begin his filmmaking career at Loyola Marymount University. Dedication and mentorship have helped develop Oscar’s cinematography, bringing a wide variety of student films to their visual potential throughout his time at LMU. Oscar’s enthusiasm for lensing Sliced stems from a creatively rich collaboration with director Julia Brauner and from the surrealist/horror take on the classic bildungsroman. He agrees that growing up and experiencing new events can be horrific, citing flashbulb memories such as a car accident at the age of three that showed him one, what blood is, and two, that people can bleed from their nose. Under the direction of Julia Brauner, Oscar’s visuals will capture the fear experienced in these moments to provide a thrilling and unique experience for mature audiences.
